Sensei David E. Domer

7th Dan

    As a former West Virginia University and army team wrestler Mr. Domer had an interest in and studied Jiu Jitsu after hours at Fort Knox, Kentucky (1958-59).  He started studying Shorin Ryu karate under Don Southern, ni-dan, in 1965.  In 1972 Mr. Domer earned his sho-dan (first degree black belt) from Seishin Kai Karate Union and ni-dan ranking from The National Karate and Jiu Jitsu Union in 1976.  In 1984 he joined the United States Karate Association and eventually received his go-dan from that organization.  Mr. Domer founded the American Bushido Karate Association in 1978 and has roku-dan and nana-dan certificates from the High Dan Board.  He has studied in clinics and seminar conducted by Hanshi Richard Ballargeon, Hanshi Joe Ruiz, Hanshi Oyato (Ryu Kyu Kempo), Hanshi Shimabuku (Shorin-Ryu), Hanshi Odo (Okinawan Kempo Kobudo), Brain Fey, Director of the Shotokan Karatedo of Japan Federation, Ridgely Abele, Sourtheastern Chief Instructor of the U.S.K.A. and Jim Logue, Eastern Regional Director of Ryu Kyu Kempo.
